HOW TO DOWNLOAD & INSTALL ON
WINDOWS 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, or 7 Systems

In the download section of the website you will find the download link for the current version of the program. The version is clearly labeled and has underlined text that says "Click here to download installation file". Click on this underlined text to start the download process.

Depending on how your internet browser and computer are setup one or more dialog boxes may pop up asking you about where you want to store the downloaded file on your computer. If these dialog boxes do appear, click on the "OK" button on each one to proceed with the download process. If you know how to select a folder to save the file in, please do so. As the download is proceding you will see a dialog box on your computer informing you of the download progress (what you see will depend on which internet browser you are using). When the download is successfully completed Windows should give you a message informing you that the download was successful. Click on the "OK" button on the message to clear it.

If you know which folder the downloaded file was saved in on your computer you can skip the following directions for the "Search" menu selection. Use "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" to locate the downloaded file on your computer and continue with the install instruction below.

After the download has been completed you are ready to begin installing The League Assistant on your computer. Click on the Windows "Start" button. Depending on the version of the Windows operating system that you have, you will either see "Find" or "Search" as a menu selection after you click on the "Start" button.

If you click on the "Start" menu and have "Find" as a menu selection then
, select "Find" and then "Files or Folders...". A dialog box with three tabs labeled "Name & Location", "Date", and "Advanced" will appear on your screen. Click on the "Name & Location" tab. You are going to work with the items labeled "Named", "Look in" and "Include subfolders". In the text box to the right of the word "Named:" type

Click on the down arrow on the right side of the text box to the right of the words "Look in:". You will see a list of all the possible places that Windows could look for the program. If the option "Local hard drives" is available then pick it. If not, then select the option for your hard drive C. You will know which option this is because you will see the text "(C:)" as part of the selection. Make sure there is a check mark to the left of the words "Include subfolders". If the box is empty (no check mark) click on the empty box to put a check mark in it.

Click on the "Find Now" button and Windows will search for the file. When the search starts a new section will appear at the bottom of the Find dialog box with two columns labeled "Name" and "In Folder". Skip the following directions for the "Search" menu selection and continue with the install instruction below.

If you click on the "Start" menu and have "Search" as a menu selection then
, select "Search" and then "All files and folders...". A dialog box will appear on your screen. In the text box below "All or part of the file name:" type

Click on the down arrow to the right of the text "More Advanced Options". Make sure there is a check mark to the left of the words "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search subfolders". If any of the boxes are empty (no check mark) click on the empty box to put a check mark in it.

Click on the "Search" button and Windows will search for the file. When the search starts a new section will appear at the bottom of the Find dialog box with two columns labeled "Name" and "In Folder".

If you downloaded the file successfully and followed the directions for completing the "Find" or "Search" dialog box, Windows will find the file and it will appear in the column under "Name".

INSTALL: After you find the LASetup.exe file you downloaded, simply double click on the file name to run it and install the program on your system. If you are using Vista, you will need administrator rights to your computer to install the program. If you have User Account Control turned on with Vista you will need to give the install program permission to run.
